Geocache Description:

An easy cache on the way to Belmont Trig.

What should be an easy find on the way to Belmont Trig, and the southern entrance to the Puke Ariki Trail.

I'm not sure why this location is called "Baked Beans Bend", but it may have something to do with the fact it is an ideal campsite, and may have been used in the early settlement days and when the Korokoro Dam was constructed. If anyone has any further information i'd be interested to hear.

I've mountain-biked and walked this track numerous times, but never camped here. Maybe some time in the near future ... just for a laugh.

The cache is a cammoed 200ml Sistema, and at time of placing it contained only a logbook.
Please bring your own writing instrument!

Please NOTE that you must sign the log book for each individual cacher. Please take some time before leaving to ensure that the cache is re-hidden exactly as you found it.

Keep an eye out for muggles ... while this location can be quiet, muggles can turn up unexpectedly anytime at GZ.
