Geocache Description:

A cache I have been wanting to place for awhile. Hopefully you will enjoy finding it as much as I enjoyed placing it.

In 2004 I came up this canyon to go rock climbing for my first and last time.  The person who took me up to rock climb made everything seem so easy and fun I couldn't resist the opportunity to try this sport. The sun was shining and I was determined to to succeed.  My friend G hooked me up and I started climbing up in those undersized rock climbing shoes. Everything was going well...until I got to the hornets nest nestled right in my path. G suggested to start going to the right and going up and around the deathly obstacle. Just as I was above the nest I slipped and was saved my safety harness.  I wasn't going to give up, but my body had a different idea.  I started shacking uncontrollably from my near death fall. I couldnt even push/pull myself one inch higher. Well  I was going to have to come down. But not without humiliating myself first. G would not let me come down til I announced myself as a quiter.  I was told the only way he would help me down is if Iyelled out "I give up," to everyone in rock canyon that day.  So I yelled as loud as I could to save me from that awful slate of rock.  Every time I drive past rock canyon I feel a little bit of failure, but satisfaction that I at least tried.

The cache shouldn't be difficult to hike to, but the container will be. I couldn't place the cache exactly where I wanted to because it was too close to another cache. You can still see the "I give up" wall from the cache location.  You will need to BYOP as the container does not have room for one.
