NIGHT cache requiring a significant hike.
THE FIRST COORDINATES HAS BEEN UPDATED AS FOLLOWS: N 43 03.975 / W 81 10.486 Once you park, immediately turn on your flashlight and head down the dirt road and follow the fire-tack reflectors. ========================== This is a Night cache. You will be following reflectors. Be prepared. Bring two flashlights and extra batteries. Wear good footwear, carry a cell phone and let someone know where you are going and when you are expected back. Night caching can be fun, but may have potential hazards such as wild animals, LIMITED VISABILITY, NUMEROUS POTHOLES, UNEVEN GROUND, LOGS etc. Park at: 43 03.892 / 081 10.437. Do NOT drive down the dirt road. Please park at the parking coordinates. Walk to the stop sign and turn on your flashlight. Walk down the dirt road to your right. Go to the 1st reflector at the coordinates listed: 43.04.081 / 081 10.504. Continue to follow the double (white/gold) reflectors until you reach the cache. Each reflector is AHEAD of you. If you see a reflector behind you, that is the outgoing reflector trail. The cache is in a large lock & lock container containing some nice loot. As it takes considerable time to find this cache, please do not disappoint the next cacher, and leave worthy loot. The cache is in a clearing, please take a moment, look up and enjoy the stars. Remember to keep your GPS tracker on so as to help you find your way back. By the time that you find the cache, your night vision should be adapted enough to help you find your way back. You can also follow the WHITE reflectors back to your parking spot. ======================== Backup instructions: Walk down dirt road towards Sugarbush. Count three telephone poles to your left, then count nine telephone poles to your right. Turn left immediately at the 9th telephone pole down an old un-used grassy road. Go approx. 290 strides until you reach a path to your left. Take that path. The cache is amongst some fir trees at the far end of the clearing. LOTS AND LOTS of undergrowth and stumps and trees...be VERY careful. =========================
