This cache is located in the "Sekimidai park."
There is a building of a huge whale in this park.
This building was built in 1958 and was modeled after a Blue Whale that measured 25 meters in length and weighed 130 tons.
Now,it is a reminder of the former Shimonoseki Aquarium,which stood on this site from November 29 1956 to December 3 2000.
The Whale Building also symbolizes Shimonoseki's prosperous history as a whaling base.
Take a break and relax on a bench overlooking the sea.
Under this park, Sangen'ya coast the figure of the finless porpoises have been observed.
Approaching the distance of about five meters, sometimes from the coast.

このキャッシュは、関見台公園にあります。
この公園には巨大なクジラの建物があります。
巨大な鯨の建物は昭和33年にシロナガスクジラを実物大に模して建てられたものです。
（全長25メートル、高さ13メートル、幅8メートル）
以前は館内で鯨や捕鯨に関する資料の展示が行われていました。
鯨の建物は、捕鯨基地として繁栄した下関市の歴史を象徴しています。
ベンチでのんびり海を眺めて一休みして下さい。
また、関見台公園下の三軒屋海岸では、毎日のようにスナメリの姿が観察されています。海岸から5m程の距離まで近づいてくることもあるそうです。
是非訪れてみて下さい。
