Valle de Guadalupe Baja California, also known as Valle Del Vino (Wine Valley). This cache is located on the property of an RV park that belongs to Rancho Sordo Mudo (Deaf Ranch) across the road. I am the director of that Ranch. My son and I fell in love with Geocaching and want to provide more caches in this area and Ensenada. Once you find cache, feel free to venture over to the other side of the highway and see this special ranch, even join us for lunch
Over Two hundred years ago on this location once stood a Jesuit Mission, which shortly after being built was destroyed by Indians. There were two palm trees located at the entrance to this mission, now only one tall one remains keeping watch, making sure muggles don't find its treasure. In the late 1800's Russian Molokans fleeing a cruel Czar settled in the Guadalupe valley buying most of the property. Then in 1969 My father purchased this property to build a home and school for deaf children on the other side of the road and a small RV park on this side. Even though it’s not much to look at, it has a rich history to it. To find this cache, enter the RV park and follow the dirt road that goes to the right, the cache is located before the end of the road. You only have to walk a short distance from the vehicle to cache. It's covered with sticks and brush, please make sure you hide it again when done. This is a Green painted Official Geocache plastic container. There is a first to find pin in there, also a travel bug along with an assortment of goodies. please make sure no curious muggles working in the fields nearby see you. make sure to sign the log, take something and leave something.
