There are ten caches in the Allans Track series beginning at top of Blandswood road and finishing at Te Wanahu Flat. To get back to the car we suggest you walk back on Fern Walk. The round trip will take about three hours, after you have worked out all the puzzles. Otherwise you need to leave a car at both ends.
From Te Wanahu Flat walk south to S43 53.679 E171 15.696 to pick up Fern Walk track.. There are a further eight traditional caches along Fern Walk Track.
Alternatively start at Allans Track at Te Wanahu Flat S43 53.515 E171 15.679 walk up Allan Track and back on Fern Walk.
