Geocache Description:

The cache is small tin.  It will take extremely small swaps and I have left an American coin.  Please bring your own writing stick.

A wonderful place to see the great variety of water birds that live in our tropical paradise.  Bear  in mind that the time of day and the season will dictate just what is there.  Last visit we saw two sea eagles with a nest - mind you they were not close by so do take binoculars if you are interested.  Today there were numerous black swans, pelicans, ducks and magpie geese to name just a few.

This is predominantly a cane farming area with an abundance of underground water which assists in maintaining the many lagoons scattered across the Shire.

Of course in the wet season all this area is very prone to flooding and the road will disappear under water so bear this in mind.  However the Highway would be closed if it gets to that stage.
