From the 5th, follow the edge north, past an abandoned small building. The 'summit' beckons with an area of trees. On the high point is a small 'maze' made out of rock set in the ground. Worth an explore. Good views to the high hills over the wall.
The cache involves another bit of daring do, so hopefully you're feeling brave and fearless! The log does need to be signed to claim a find. See note on No.2
Once all adventures are completed, pick a path back to the start, or continue to the top corner of the walls and a gate out onto the main section of Scout Scar, where a short stroll reaches a large pile of stones on the local summit, which is a great viewpoint. A trig point is further along and the 'mushroom' view shelter, further again. A lovely place.
Hope you enjoy your visit to Helsington Barrows - a special area with a unique combination of rock and flora. These caches are hidden with the kind permission of the National Trust, thanks Sam.
