Le bâtiment accueillit alors le Ministère des PTT, jusqu'en 1960.
Le 26 avril 1935, sous l'impulsion du ministre Georges Mandel, la première émission officielle de la télévision française fut tournée dans le studio installé au 103 et fit apparaître à l'écran la comédienne Béatrice Bretty, de l'Académie Française, avec une définition de 60 lignes. Il y a alors en France quelques centaines de téléviseurs.
Le 18 novembre 1935, un nouveau studio y est inauguré, avec un système de 180 lignes mécaniques. On y découvre la première speakerine, Suzy Winker.
Avec l'apparition du standard à 455 lignes et du nouvel émetteur au sommet de la tour Eiffel, ce studio fermera définitivement le 31 juillet 1939.
En 1960, le 103 deviendra le siège de France Télécom, jusqu'en 2007 où il sera entièrement rénové.

The building then hosted the Ministry of Postal, Telegraph & Telephone, until 1960.
On April 26, 1935, under the leadership of Minister Georges Mandel, the first official broadcast of French television was shot in the studio located at 103, where actress Béatrice Bretty, from the "Académie Française", appeared on the screen, with a resolution of 60 lines.
