Geocache Description:

A short ramble over the fields near Aughton (prounouced Af-ton) village. The theme of this ramble is derived from the author Edith Caroline Rivett (aka Carol Carnac, E C R Lorac, Carol Rivett, Mary le Bourne) who lived at Aughton during her final years.

Books by E C R Lorac and Carol Carnac are very desirable and often fetch very high prices sometimes several hundred pounds, especially if they are in very good condition with dust jackets. She is a very interesting author and is much collected - so if you find one stuffed in your attic, or at a library sale, do hang on to it!!! Please replace carefully and don't push too far back! Congratulations to The Quietly Crew for FTF.
