Geocache Description:

Kayak and climb

This cache is inspired in part by two caches. The first is one I've done: Chapin Frustration and the other is one that's on my bucket list someday: Psycho Urban Cache #13 (If bored, the whole cache page and logs for "PUC 13" as it is known by the locals, is a great read!) I've been searching for a similar spot for a while and finally found one and felt dumb when I spotted this location and realized I'd been by here and seen it before. I had completely forgotten about it. This cache is on an old, overgrown and abandoned bridge pylon for a bridge built in 1845! The bridge is long since gone, but this crumbling stone pylon remains. Time has not been kind though and there is not a whole lot left here, but it makes for a cool spot for a cache! It's not as high up as Chapin Frustration, and it pales in comparison to Psycho Urban #13, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to place a unique cache. You don't need climbing gear, but watch your footing! This thing is very old! I recommend doing this one as a group, both because it will be more fun, but also because it will be safer. When the water is low enough, there is actually room to pull your kayak out of the water here. Bring a rope in case the river is running a little higher than normal so you can ensure you don't lose your kayak downstream while searching!

You are looking for a small lock and lock container that has been camo'd to fit this location. Should be a fairly easy find. If you enjoy this cache, be sure to check out Psycho Urban Wannabe 2
