Geocache Description:

Cache is in Stone Mountain Park, which requires an $10 daily parking pass or a $35 annual pass. This area is only open from dawn until dusk so please don't hunt this one at night. Also please do NOT attempt to access from Rockbridge Road, you'll be trespassing.

This area was the home to the 1996 Olympic archery and cycling events. I was a teenager when the games came to Atlanta and I remember witnessing the Olympic torch relay through Stone Mountain Park not too far from where this cache is hidden. This area is now home to a wild bird sanctuary and is one of the most peaceful and naturally beautiful sections of the park. While you're here take a moment to wak the nearby trails and listen to the many species of birds that inhabit this area. Congratulations to our friend boo2931 for being a super cacher indeed and grabbing a "well deserved First To Find".
