Geocache Description:

The cache is a film canister with a log. Bring your own pen.

This cache is called Abandon Hope to mark the end of Hope Lane. Please don't abandon hope on the series!

After finding the cache carry on up Hope Lane then turn left at the T-junction. Carry on down Skellorn Green Road, be careful as there is no footpath for some of the road. Pass the end of Moggie Lane joining the footpath on the right of the road up the hill. Carry on up the footpath to "Still Hanging Around"

This 3.5 mile walk will take you from the Southern edge of Poynton out along the brook side to Hope Lane and out into the countryside. The walk then crosses fields before a short stretch along Dickens Lane before walking alongside Poynton Brook back to the start. The walk is a mixture of paths (which can be muddy at times) and relatively quiet lanes. There are a couple of areas of busier traffic so please be aware and keep control of pets and children. A full description of the route can be found below. Caches are a mixture of small clip and lock containers and various nanos. We hope you enjoy the walk and caches.
