I'm finally hiding my first cache after meaning to for far too long now. I choose to hide it in Prosser Pines because it was the first area of woods I began to enjoy upon moving to Long Island seven years ago, and I'd like fellow cachers to enjoy it as well.
The cache is hidden at the bottom of a valley, in a place where, as the name implies, the water runs down. I've always wanted to come to this spot during a bad rainstorm, and when searching for an appropriate location for my first cache, this place jumped out in my mind. As you get closer to GZ, you'll see some old tires and a somewhat hidden old bicycle rim.The cache is tucked out of sight somewhere very near to this rim.
The cache container is a clear plastic square jar with a white lid marked with the cache name, approximately 4x6 inches in size. I've started it off with a pirate, some pirate coins, a dinosaur, mini first aid kit, red bead necklace, a couple blue stones, and for the FTF, I've added in a spiffy little clip-on flashlight with a rotating head to aid in all those night-caching adventures. Please be sure to cover the cache well to help keep it from being spotted by muggles.
I've averaged together several GPS readings to get these coordinates, and it is my first attempt at hiding a cache, so I hope they are in fact accurate. If not, and you are able to provide updated coordintes, it would be greatly appreciated.
I hope you enjoy finding my first cache and this fantastic bit of woods as much as I always have!
