Geocache Description:


The Chisholm View Wind Project is the largest wind farm in Oklahoma.
 
A 20-year power purchase agreement between TradeWind Energy and Alabama Power allows for between 200 and 300 MW across approximately 20,000 acres and hosted by over 100 landowners in southern Grant and northern Garfield Counties.
 
The Project is unique in that it transports low-cost renewable wind energy across three transmission systems to Alabama.
 
It is expected to contribute up to $5 million annually in direct payments to the local community via property taxes and rent payment to landowners who will host the turbine easements over the term of the contract.
