This is one of my holiday caches. I love this season and wanted to share some of the fun with you neat people!
Something you should know about me is I like pickles.
I like them as relish, in pickle wraps, in pickle wrap dip, on my hamburgers and just plain ol plain.
This time of year I like them for a different kind of reason.
It is because of an old tradition about a pickle in a tree.
It goes like this;
The tradition of the Christmas Pickle
It's Christmas, a time of jingle bells, stockings, presents under the tree and family traditions. Celebrate the holidays with a time-honored, German Tradition and have fun with your family for years to come! Following and Old World custom, parents waited until Christmas Eve to hide a small pickle ornament on the Christmas tree, tucking it out of sight among the branches. On Christmas morning, the first family member to spot the pickle was rewarded with a special blessing for the coming year and received the first present from under the tree.
With this being about surprises, please keep the surprise a surprise for all to be surprised for themselves. Do not spoil the surprise for others.
As always I like to frolic in clean areas. Please do your part in picking up garbage you see.
This is a muggle area so please becareful.
