Maitland Park contains heritage items of Regional Significance including the Richard Alexander Young Memorial Fountain, the Maitland Park Rotunda and the Stone Gate Posts and are located only a fraction out of the way of the main highway.
This is Maitland's most visited park and one of the oldest in NSW, with beautiful cricket grounds and great facilities for kids. I have found three different memorial fountains in this park, and the cache is located at my favourite of the three.
Many city centers lack a cache of sufficiant size to house trackables and decent swag. I hope this cache serves that purpose here.
I highly recommend reading the nearby information sign for a greater insight into the immediate area.
