Geocache Description:

Traditional cache with stunning views over the far west of Cornwall

Located near the site of the archived Ding Dong cache. This area has been extensively mined in the past and is reputed to have some of the oldest mines in the Southwest.
Ding Dong was surrounded by many other mines one of which is Greenburrow mine whose Engine house and shaft you pass enroute to the cache. Mining has been recorded here since 1714 and maybe before that. Ding Dong ceased production in 1879.

The cache is located west of the engine house along a track which may very well have been used by miners between different mines in the past. It is a very isolated part of the area with extensive views over Mounts Bay.

Please ensure the cache is well concealed when you replace it.
