Our 4th cache on a circular walk from Stanton-by-Dale. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A CACHE AND DASH. THERE IS NO VEHICULAR RIGHT OF WAY - THE CACHE IS ON A PUBLIC FOOTPATH and BRIDLEWAY
This is one of a series of caches I have placed on a circular walk of about 4 miles that we often do out of Stanton-by-Dale. The walk isn’t strictly circular as the walk up the fields towards No Man’s Lane is also the return route. In the village itself you can pick up the clues needed to do the bonus cache about halfway round the walk. The route takes in several other caches (listed below, with the CO’s listed where they aren’t mine). Easy detours into Risley and Stanton-by-Dale villages for refreshments, and other caches! Parking either in Stanton-by-Dale, or in Risley on the main road by the school and church. I’ve recommended you start with jayjaybee8’s cache in Stanton-by-Dale village itself as its close to a plaque describing the industrial history of the village, and to the village cross. Then walk down the road to the church, passing the water pump installed to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee and then to the memorial plaque to airmen killed in training during WWII on your way to “Feeling Flakey”. Then leave the village via the kissing gates at waypoint 1 and 2 and you can’t go wrong. Keep an eye open (and ear too) for buzzards on this walk - there’s an increasingly large number of them in the area (and sparrowhawks too).

GC21HQH: End of the city (DJ Fungus)

GC3WQ19: Take the scenic route 4 of 4 (Lexthegoose)
Fibonacci’s cache
GC2Q8A7: Agile Gibbon (Harvey_Keluarga)
None of the caches we have placed on this walk (except the multi) is big enough for anything other than a log (and not all have a pencil). We had fun placing them – hope you have fun finding them.
U-bend
No pencil here either so please bring your own. We sheltered here during a shower when placing this cache. If it’s a fine day then on the walk down to here from “Decision Time” you may well have seen buzzards or sparrowhawks hovering above the fields. The cache is camouflaged but a metaphorically thorough search will find it.
