[ITA] Il Parabae è un’area di 84 ettari adagiata lungo la riva destra del fiume Piave, in passato proprietà del demanio militare e acquisita dal Comune di Maserada sul Piave per realizzarvi un parco pubblico e impianti sportivi.
L'area è stata utilizzata per esercitazioni militari probabilmente già nell’epoca napoleonica; il termine Parabae individua la montagna para-palle centrale, che serviva a parare le palle di cannone.
[ENG] The Parabae area extends for 84 hectares along the right bank of the Piave river. A state military property in the past, it has been acquired by the Municipality of Maserada sul Piave in order to realize a public park and sports facilities.
The area has been used for military exercises probably since the Napoleonic age; the term Parabae identifies the central mountain which served to ward off the cannon balls.
