Geocache Description:

The Hoodoo View Trail is a new trail, constructed in the summer of 2012, in the Kimberley Nature Park.

The trail cuts off from Jimmy Russell Road and offers good views of the hoodoos along the St. Marys River in the distance.

I have given parking coordinates for the Nature Park parking across from the Riverside Campground; if that's full or plowed in, parking at the campground is fine.

Follow the campground trail up to Jimmy Russell Road, turn left, and follow the old road up to the trailhead coordinates.  This is where the Hoodoo View trail cuts off to the left, directly across from Duck Pond Trail, with goes up to the right.  Once you pass the cache you can continue on the trail to where it intersects with Shapeshifter, turn right, and arrive back at Jimmy Russell Road.

Note that these trails will NOT be signed until summer 2013, and it is easy to lose the trail in the winter once you get onto Shapeshifter.  If you're not confident in where you're going, please follow your tracks back down the way you came.
If you would like assistance in planning your walk, please contact me, I have maps and GPS tracks.

If you come to this cache along the trail from below (ie. you park at the campground and follow the directions from there), make sure you continue a bit farther up along the trail to capture the views across the river.

Please note that although the container is attached, the lid is not.
