Geocache Description:

A cozy travel bug motel for the tired traveler. You can drive up pretty close if you have a higher clearance vehicle (no 4x4 required).

I love this area. I've tooled around in a jeep and pickup quite a bit. I've build snow caves and gone sledding. I even proposed to my beautiful wife with a geocache in these hills. Now I visit frequently to run my dogs.

Seemed a nice enough area, so I set up a bit of a travel bug motel. The idea is that it you have a TB to get rid of, you can get rid of it here. Or, if you're heading out and want a TB to take with you, you can get one here. It's not the most convinient spot, but it's not hard to get to either. To get things started I'm putting four brand new TB's in the cache, to begin their adventure.

You can drive most of the way in a pickup, no 4x4 required. Basically, take 47th street east until it T's with Mt Emma, then go straight. I've provided a coordinate for a place to park that is right under a tower. It'll give you a reference of where to drive and enough room to turn around when you get there.

From the parking spot, the hike is short and only gains about 100 feet of elevation.

Enjoy the area.
