This is very close to the town of Surat, Surat is situated on the banks of the Balonne River, it is the centre of the picturesque Warroo Shire, and ideal place to enjoy a little country hospitality. It is on the Great Inland Way between Roma and StGeorge and makes an ideal stop over for visitors heading north from New South Wales.Founded in 1849 after Sir Thomas Mitchell passed through the area, Surat is also the last stop over for the Cobb & Co coach run. The cache is in an easy position. two roads make this easy to locate and not in the trees. Please Note :There could be muggles camping at the near by camping area so care should be taken.
