Gardians is a custom-built dairy site, with construction completed in October 2012; this 4 hectare site near Balclutha will finish 20,000 metric tonnes of nutritional products using a new top of the line European spray drier. The finished product is being sent to Sutton Group for consumer ready packaging. Gardians is a 50/50 partnership between Grant Paterson and The Sutton Group.

It was only two or three years ago this area was all sheep, how things have changed.
It will be interesting to see how this plant goes given the problems others small plants have had around south Canterbury.
