This cache is located in a little known area of Dubbo NSW. This area was where I placed my first cache. I have moved it to a new location. It is a small container with a log book and pencil and there is room for trackables. I often visit this area and it is a nice place to take the kids to feed the ducks from the timber jetty. Hopefully when you find this cache you will also see some amazing water birds including ducks and egrets.
Congratulations to DiMorgan on FTF!
The cache is located in Egret Park in Dubbo. Egret Park wetland is located within Keswick Estate on the Eastern side of the Dawson Park Greyhound Track and can be accessed through a pedestrian gate located between Dawson Park and the Village Life Retirement complex.
Although serving as a recreation area used by local residents and visitors, the primary purpose of this wetland is to treat the urban stormwater by removing litter and other pollutants before the stormwater enters the Macquarie River. Demonstrating Dubbo City Council's commitment to stormwater management this urban wetlands provides a range of community and environmental benefits.
By retaining the stormwater from rains it reduces the amount of water-borne pollutants that reach the natural waterways. The wetlands absorb pollutants and improve water quality.
