Abmedo Traditional Cache
SaintSteven: After two people reported that they couldn't find the cache. I personally looked for it. It wasn't where I placed it, hence it is now archived.

The cache is a magnetic micro. It's in La Daille a small hamlet very near to the ski resort of Val d'Isere.
From other logs it seems that this cache needs some maintenance. Unfortunately I am unable to do this until April 21st. Perhaps finders could add their logs on some paper which they would have to provide. Apologies for this. The alternative is for me to disable to cache which I prefer not to do at this time so that other can find it. The cache is a magnetic micro. It's almost on the main road into Val d'Isere from the direction of Bourg St Maurice.
It's on the river side of the road. Overlooking the hiding place are some ski pistes, one of which is used for World Cup Downhill and slalom ski races. There is a gondola ski lift and a funicular train which will take you hundreds of feet up the Bellevarde mountain. Although primarily used to transport skiers, they are open in the spring and summer to transport pedestrians to a mountain restaurant. The name Abmedo is derived from three brilliant chalet hosts who looked after us for a week in Jan 2013. They were Abbie, Esme and Dougie.
