A simple Cache that is the start of the Woodpecker Wander series of 8 caches which lead you through a short circular walk suitable for all the family
Placed between the villages of Alderholt and Cranbourne this series of caches are based on relatively easy terrain and are suitable for all ages, although it can get very muddy at certain times of the year.
Most of the caches are placed on Bridleways so are suitable for a walk or a bike/horse ride (sadly most are not suitable for prams, pushchairs or wheelchairs) and there are two Stiles to cross if you complete the whole circuit
As for the name; when we placed the first cache we could hear Woodpeckers all around :-)
Although Woodpecker Wander 1 is suitable for a Cache and Dash, we would encourage you to explore the rest of the series!
