This cache sits in the middle of Old Elk Grove. A lot of changes have occurred over the course of history in this area, but there are still some of the old buildings and a bit of the feel of what was once here.
Most days, folks are driving through Old Elk Grove on their way to home or to work and don't stop to smell the roses, as they say. So, visit the cache, and, if on a weekend, take a few minutes to stroll the area. Thanks!
I have lived in the area for over 25 years and have witnessed the changes in the area. However, Old Elk Grove still holds some of its charm. I put this cache here as an excuse for me to visit a bit more, and for other geocachers a chance to explore the area.
This is my first cache and hope you find this a fun find. I guestimated on the initial difficulty level and will adjust, if needed, based on the log entries. This is a log only cache, so you will need to bring your own pen. There is plenty of parking in the area.
