EST: Parun Eduard von Dellingshausen oli Eestimaa rüütelkonna viimane peamees, ametis aastatel 1902-1918. Ta oli aktiivne poliitik, kuulus Venemaa Riigiduumasse ja ajas usinasti saksa asja Eestis, sh Eesti okupeerimist sakslaste poolt 1918 ning Balti Hertsogiriigi väljakuulutamist. Oma tegemisi on ta pikalt kirjeldanud mälestusteraamatus, mis ka Eesti keeles olemas. Virumaal oli Dellingshausenite klanni käes terve hulk mõisaid. Eduard ise baseerus Aasperes, kuigi suurema osa oma ajast peamehena veetis ta kolmnurgas Tallinn-Peterburi-Aaspere. Tavaliselt sõitis ta rongiga; kui ta Aasperre läks või sealt tuli, mindi hobustega talle jaama vastu. Aare on ka jaamas, dr Jänese selja taga.
ENG: Baron Eduard von Dellingshausen was the last Hauptmann of the Estonian Noble Corporation, the organisation of Baltic German landowners in Estonia, in 1902-1918. He was an active politician, member of the Russian Duma, and took care of the Baltic German affairs, incl occupying of Estonia by the German Army in 1918 and proclamation of the Baltic Duchy. He has described his activities in a biography, published originally in German in 1930, in Estonian in 2011. The Dellingshausens owned many Estates in Virumaa. Eduard himself was based in Aaspere, but spent most of his time shuttling between Tallinn, St Petersbourg and Aaspere. Usually he took a train; when he travelled to Aaspere horses were waiting in the station. The cache is also at the station, behind the back of dr Jänes.
