Electric Mouse: Hi. I am a volunteer reviewer for geocaching.com. This cache was reported to me as being within 150 feet of a railroad track and I note that the cache page and a number of logs state that reaching the cache involves entering the right of way. At some point after this cache was initially listed, geocaching.com stopped listing caches within 150 feet of railroad tracks because it is a federal offense to place an item within the railroad right of way. I realize that this cache has been in place for a long time and has been rather popular, but I don't see how I can grandfather a cache and make an exception to the railroad guideline when it involves a potential legal issue. Because the cache is within the railroad right of way, I see no choice but to archive the page and request the owner to arrange to remove or move the cache as soon as possible.
I note that there is a game production area nearby, so if the cache can be moved so that it is further than 150 feet from the tracks and does not require entering the right of way to reach it, I can unarchive the page once it is relocated. If you are able to move it, email me once it is moved so that I can relook at it. Also please feel free to contact me if there are any questions.
Thanks,
Electric Mouse
