Holly Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

La Lunatica: This cache has been missing for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

Situated in the woods at the end of Holly Walk which is near to Finedon Hall which has recently been restored and turned into Luxury apartments . It has been suggested that you may need a torch to find this but if you hav,nt got one have a feel about.

This cache is situated in an area of woodland at the end of Holly Walk in Finedon, this is an area where my children used to play when they were younger and is popular with muggle dog walkers, so be careful when searching and grabbing the cache. You will need to take a pen or pencil to sign the log as this is a micro container and ony holds a log. If you continue along the disused train track at the bottom of the woods towards Finedon, you will come across an old disused narrow guage train track that used to take minerals from the old quarry situated in Finedons Pocket Park to Wellingborough. The Pocket Park is the first one in the country opened in 1984 and is about 2 miles in lenth with other caches located within. The wooded areas in this walk contain Ancient Yew and old coppiced Lime trees with flora such as spotted Orchid and bee Orchid with wildlife such as Foxes , Shrews , Munctjac deer and Badgers amongst many wild and rare birds.
