This cache has been archived.

Obilon: Well, if the tree is gone, it's gone. And so, after 10 years in the wild, so is this one of my earliest placements. Wonder what the folks who found it thought?

Geocache Description:

Another in a series to bring to the lost places of Florida, the ones you drive by all too often without even knowing they exist.

Judson (pronounced "Jut-sen") is a community with a rather nondescript past.  Like Levyville, Newnansville, and so many other places that existed before the railroad came, when they were bypassed, they withered away.  Here you can see the historical cemetery and church building, and taking the road west through what is left of the village you will see the old schollhouse, a cracker home, and a pair of old mill wheels.  Nothing of the "commercial" center of town remains.
