Geocache Description:

Kinchant Dam is 30km west of Mackay and 6km southeast of Mirani.  It is named after nearby Mt Kinchant. It is a reserviour that was built on Sandy Creek in 1977.  It has a very small natural catchment so the water is predominantly pumped from the Pioneer River and stored before being used for irrigation in the area (Eton water supply scheme). It has a storage area of 920ha, a maximum depth of 18.1m and a capacity of 62,800 ML.

The cache is a camo bison tube. The last caches in this location went missing so this one is camouflaged and well hidden. Bring your own pen please.
