Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of caches for you to bring your Geo-Dog to. This shopping area is a new addition to the area, and also has a lot of areas for your pet to sniff around, but remember to clean up after him! The cache is a small container with some swag inside. This should be fairly easy to find, too!

The Xoloitzcuintli, pronounced "Show-Low-Eats-kweent-lee", is a very unique breed of dog. Unlike most dog breeds, the Xolo is hairless, save for some small spots under the ears, the head, and the tail. Sometimes called the Mexican hairless dog, it's a popular pet in Mexico and not too rare in South Texas. They were originally bred as Aztec guard dogs and were also used as a form of heat medicine, by being let loose to run around in the sun and later keeping their master's warm in bed. Due to it's exposed skin, wearing lotion is a must. Pixar recently released their animated film “Coco”, which has a Xolo dog as the main character’s companion, further popularizing the breed.
