On the way to Hideaway Pond.... Traditional Cache
Sox4Life: The Hideaway Pond series has been around for almost 7 years. It's served it's purpose. Time to archive the series to open up that area for someone else to put out some caches.

(aka Ekidokai's favorite series) Not a Park and Grab!! While out caching with a buddy, I happened to come across something that I thought would make a neat container to put a cache in. Now where to put it?? It had to be someplace where it wouldn't stand out. I then remembered the trail that I took on the way to find the Hideaway Pond cache (GC24Q05). I found that cache March of 2012. The trail to that cache was a well used snowmobile trail and there was plenty of snow still on the ground at that time. I also remembered how pretty the woods were and how nice it was to get out and look for a cache that I couldn't drive my truck to. Hideaway Pond is almost a half mile walk in from the road so there had to be someplace on that trail that I could place my neat container. About a 1/4 mile down the trail, I found just the spot. It's a little ways off the trail but not too far and you can see the pond from the gz.
The cache is a camo taped lock n lock hidden inside my container. The container looks natural but out of place. Please be careful in retrieving the cache and putting it back so as not to damage the container. I put the usual swag in the cache including an L.L.Bean travel alarm clock for the ftf. Congrats to my caching buddy toolmkr on being ftf. Way to go, Steve!!
