The Monastery of Tranquil Felicity once one of the three largest Buddhist centres in Mongolia is located near the Selenge River in the Iven Valley, at the foot of Mount Büren-Khaan in Baruunburen sum (district) of Selenge Province in northern Mongolia. The architectural design belongs to Under Gegeen Zanabazar, the first Bogd of Mongolia and the monastery itself was built to honour the memory of him.
The star attraction of Selenge aimag, Amarbayasgalant monastery is considered to be one of the top three Buddhist institutions in Mongolia (along with Erdene Zuu in Kharkhorin and Gandan in Ulaanbaatar) and the country’s most intact architectural complex. It is well worth visiting on the way to/from Khovsgol Nuur, or other areas in northern or western Mongolia.
This cache is located near Amarbayasgalant monastery.
This traditional cache is in plastic container that includes log book, pencil, tea candle, pins, souvenirs.
