Geocache Description:

A series of caches to memorialize fallen firefighters in Nevada

Baker, Timothy – Nevada Test Site Fire Dept. (June 28, 1986)
Timothy Baker was employed by E.G. & G. as a firefighter at the Nevada Test Site. He was battling a wildfire cutting lines to stop the fire’s advance. The fire advanced on their position and Baker was unable to escape the flames. He was evacuated from the scene by air to Las Vegas. Despite making progress towards recovery in the two weeks that followed the accident, he died on July 17, 1986.
