Want to experience a fire breathing dragon? Well, if you visit Dragons Lair, you can experience a breathing dragon, but here you can experience a fire breathing dragon (well, a smoke breathing dragon)
Every time a train passes through the tunnel under this location, a blast of air shakes the branches about. How much more impressive would it be when a steam train passes underneath?
Why not come and find out. The Peak Forester is a train due to pass through the tunnel at about 9.45. It'll be hauled by 34046 Braunton, which is a Bullied Light Pacific whose wheel arrangment is 4-6-2. As its early (ish), we'll be having some cooked breakfast, so come for a sausage sandwich and a mug of tea.
Assuming we survive, the plan is to do a few local caches, then have a pub lunch, in the North Star afterwards.
