This is another installment of my geocache series dedicated to geocachers who have had an impact in my caching career. This one is for DevilDog64.
When I first started geocaching, the majority of my first finds were by DevilDog64. I was always impressed with his ingenuity and creativity of his hides, and it made me want to duplicate that with mine. In fact, my first multi-cache find was called DevilDog's Puppies(GC15N2T). I loved the idea of a generator cache and duplicated the idea a few times myself. My personal favorite caches that DevilDog has hidden are Little Evergreen 2(GC1BEMZ) and Parker's Landing-Critters (GC26CBZ). DDog, as several local cachers like to call him, is always a good source of information and advice when you get a chance to talk to him at events or on the trail. He also LOVES evil micros in the woods...lol. But seriously, his hard work along the Trout Island Rail Trail has allowed a lot of cachers to enjoy the bike trail and pick up a fair number of geocaches at the same time.
So, as my thank you to him, I placed this cache in his favorite style of container on the Trout Island Trail. There is a unactivated Travel Tag for the FTF as well as a cool piece of swag for someone to take! So Here's To You DevilDog64, thanks for all you have done for the geocaching community! See ya on the trail!
