This cache, which is a quick cache and dash, is placed close to the Queen Mary Reservoir which is home to the Queen Mary Sailing Club. This was the home club for the Double Gold Olympic Medallists Sarah Ayton and Sarah Webb who were both born locally. They both won Gold medals in the Yngling Class in Athens in 2004 (with Shirley Robertson) and again in Beijing in 2008 (this time with Pippa Wilson)
The Queen Mary Reservoir is one of the largest of London's reservoirs located in the Staines/Sunbury area of West London within the borough of Spelthorne in Surrey. It lies south of the A308 and west of the M3 motorway. The reservoir covers 700 acres (2.8 km2) and lies 45 ft (14 m) above the surrounding area. Designed by John Watson Gibson for the Metropolitan Water Board in 1931, the reservoir today is owned by Thames Water. 200,000,000 imperial gallons (910,000,000 litres) of water are pumped into the reservoir each day from an inlet on the River Thames at Laleham between Chertsey Lock and Penton Hook Lock. You are looking for a disguised micro, containing only a log book.
