Diamonds Are Forever (C&D #3) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rural Seeker: The container the recent finders have uncovered is NOT the container I placed. It is from a former hide in this location. I'm going to let the finds stand, but I'm confident in saying this one is probably gone.

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Team Brush Boy for a very appropriate FTF!

Not everyone knows about this spot. I first became acquainted with this spot a year and half ago or so when I went to get an old, now defunct hide by Brush Boy called "Diamond in the Rough". If you venture a little to your right after finding the cache, you can still see the camo tape and PVC pipe he used for his cache. I thought about using it, but I need to be a little creative, right?

I come to dinner here with the Old Lady now and then, and I think often about how exciting it was to find Brush Boy's old cache here, especially as it was one of my first 25 or so caches. To those who have been here before, I think mine will be a little tougher to find than his was, but his container was a little more creative.

The short version:

A couple of my caching friends are working on streaks and/or calendars and are running out of caches. In support of their streaks, I am placing as many new C&Ds as I can in the Westminster/ Eldersburg/ Sykesville/ Hampstead area.

In an effort to maintain the integrity of the cachers these are for and of the caches themselves, I set a few rules.

The caches:
1. Will not have a difficulty less than 2.
2. Will not be under light post skirts or be inside guard rail ends.
3. Will not be garbage containers (i.e. hollowed out pens with tape all over them. mint containers, dip cans, chap stick tubes, or even film containers).
4. Will not be in trashy locations. The location will be at least suitable for the hide, if not adding something to it.
I also want to have at least one that is large enough to handle swag and one that is a puzzle.

Have fun and cache on!
