Meep, meep! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

karmabottle: This cache has seen better days. It's hit the ground twice, been torn apart once, been rebuilt and rehung, been adopted twice, and now it's just....gone---poof. I'm glad that people were able to enjoy it while it lasted, but I think the time has come to free up the area and let it move on to the great GeoZone in the sky. Rest in Peace, Meep, Meep.

Geocache Description:

Word has it that the famous Roadrunner has come to Porterdale. Now we are looking for evidence that Wilie E. Coyote is hunting the Roadrunner. GZ is the place where possible Coyote activity has been spotted. Please go there and let us know if these two are duking it out in Georgia!

RoadrunnerThis quest will take you to Porterdale, a small community that emerged when the textile industry moved south in the late 19th century. This cache is within sight of a massive brick chimney left over from that time. There are some nice places to eat and visit in the city. However, this cache is located toward the edge of the town near the Yellow River.

imageWhat is important is to find out what Wilie E. Coyote is up to! As you might expect, 'toon activity should be easy to locate. Still, you might want to watch out. You never know what that Coyote will do to catch the Roadrunner! What I can promise you is that, like all encounters between these two, this will be a fun (and easy) cache to find.

The rating difficulty is mostly for GPS signal bounce. The terrain difficulty lies in a bit of bushwhacking you will need to do to get back to the cache. Please BYOP.

Congratulations to eagle1167 for outsmarting the Coyote and getting the FTF AND the FTFN! (The Roadrunner must have been sleeping.)

As usual, should you or any of your geocaching team be caught, the Coyote (?!) will disavow any knowledge of your existence. Good luck!
