This is a series of caches that I was inspired to create by Red_Family's series of Homburg caches called Grosse Namen and Ich Trage Einen Grossen Namen.

Each of the people in this series were born (MADE) in Germany. Later in life they immigrated to the USA and became citizens of America.  Many of them had a great influence on the USA and the rest of the world.  I hope that each person who completes this series learns a little bit more about how our two countries, German and The United States of America, are forever connected.

My mother died shortly after giving birth to me.
After leaving Europe I lived in New York for two years and then moved to Wisconsin.
I took something from Germany and created the first one in the USA. It presently still uses its German name.
It is a requirement for every American living today to use what I created.

Do you know who I am now?  No?

After I lost my house I moved back to Hamburg but then returned to the USA and settled in Missouri.
I died three days after my only son was born.
My sister created the same thing in England but they did not use the German word.  They translated it to English.
