Trail Map: Available at the Boat Dock! See this cache page Gallery!
Trail Length to Lake: Less than a mile
Distance to Cache: Less than Trail Length to Lake ???
Cell Phone Signal - Spotty and Unstable! Return to Boat Dock/Camp Ground for better signal!

Location: Travel on Mt.Olivet road for about 8 miles. On the way, there is a marked turn at GPS location N 37 02.886 W 80 49.402, take a RIGHT here (6 miles to go). As you approach the Boat Dock Area the paved road will split with the right leg going up hill. Take the right leg of the road and park at the left pull over on top of the first hill in the curve of the road. The trail is across from the pull over marked with a blue hiking sign. GPS location for the pull over is N 37 02.771 W 80 52.412 --
Stay on the trail until you reach a curve in the trail that has a (hopefully) dry creek bed running under it at location N 37 02.711 W 80 52.774 - You are very close!

Off Season Directions: Park at the Gate if sign says unauthorized entry: DO NOT BLOCK! The Camp Ground is closed OFF SEASON and you could get locked in by Park Rangers. It is only a short walk from the gate up the hill to the parking lot co-ordinates so find that and the trail head and have a ball.

Terrain: If you take the Trail the Terrain is gentle with varying inclines, off trail is hilly bushwacking but tons of fun. To approach cache from above try the Loop Trail.

Your Car: Mark it and if you haven't learned to use your track log or Map Page to find your way back. Learn that, it is easy and fun. Get some practice.

After finding the cache, finish walking the trail all the way to the Lake and have a nice view. On the way back out find the LakeView Trail on your right at location N 37 02.690 W 80 52.756. This tiny trail will take you for a short walk to an even 'better view' of the Lake to rest, snack or take pictures. Look for Deer and Beaver!

Trail Map - see the Gallery!

Caution Please: This area is only available to people who are willing to 'Brake For Box Turtles'!

Poem: I've never seen a Big Foot,
And I'm hoping not to see one,
And I'm also hoping that if I do,
It will be a wee one!
