7:30 Should this be 'Happening'? or 'THE Happening'?
Who knows. Who really cares? And this time it is at a fairly unlikely location chosen largely because it will provide us with plenty of space.
The Sailor, used to be The Sailor Boy, but it's name was changed a couple of years ago and the building painted battleship grey - so you should be able to spot it easily enough unless it is foggy.
Food will be available - all of the usual stuff, but it is unlikely that there will be horseburgers on offer. Oh misery.
Just opposite is the River Purwell which widens at this stage betraying the fact that there used to be boats moored here. There are flour mills upstream and downstream. Bowmans is downstream at Ickleford and is still in use, but the upstream mill is now converted into a house. And you could barely paddle upstream because the river passes under 4 low bridges before you get to the mill and there is no longer enough water to float a boat on.
But have a look at the pub sign. It features a sailor doing battle against the raging sea. Not at all like this location. And it looks like John Major doesn't it? It does! And you don't even have to squint!
See you there then.
Oh, and I may just experiment with some name badges. All this secret society stuff with two names each can be rather difficult especially for newer cachers (and me).
