Eye Spy a Tour de Fair! Meet & Greet Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

ScrappyDooPup: If my head count is accurate, I believe that everyone has submitted their "attended" log for the event (if not, you can still do so even after it's archived) -- I'm just wanting to take this off of the active event list. Thanks to everyone who posted photos -- we can always come back here or the cache page to view them.

Speaking of photos, I have replaced some of the old numbered location pictures on the cache description page to ones which are a little more clear and aren't as ambiguous -- hope this helps future cachers! (and thanks to those who helped with constructive suggestions for improvements).

STAY TUNED! -- Scooby and I are already talking about another such event for a different location during the cool winter, non-PI months.

Geocache Description:

All cachers are invited to come to my first Event -- a “Meet and Greet”.

I love events, though I've only been able to attend around 40 of them. I've helped set-up a couple of Monhina's events but this is the first one I've ever held.

Back in February, Jungle-jim8008 held an event on Super Bowl Sunday and, after the event, the participants found The Adventures of Robin Hood series as a group. I kick myself for missing that event as it would have been wonderful to be a part of the group find that morning. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – if you attended TARH Meet and Greet, you’ll see some similarities here.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing going on Sunday April 28th so come on out to Dallas Fair Park, we’ll meet and discuss our favorite topic – CACHING ‼!

At 10:00 AM, we’ll start the event by meeting for donuts and camaraderie at the given coordinates. BYOB (the last B is for beverage but keep it "soft" -- water, coffee, soda, etc.) -- I'll supply donuts for the first two dozen cachers to sign the event log. But bringing your own donut would make sure you have one in case you may not be one of the first 24 to sign that log .

This is an outdoor event so dress according to the weather. We will take a group photo and then be off to start our caching day.

At 10:45 AM, we’ll end the event and form a group with everyone who would like to join us to find the "Eye Spy a Tour de Fair!" puzzle cache (GC3B6D8) together !! If you've already found it, you're still welcomed to join us. If you haven’t found it, you’re in for some good ol’ geo-fun ‼ Bring whatever you need to sustain yourself on the "trail" for an hour-and-a-half to two hours (granola bars, sack lunch, NoDoz, etc.) .

Dogs must be on a leash and have CITO supplies handy (or "DIPO" as the case may be).

Note: images appearing on the background of this webpage are not to imply that they will be supplied for participants (you'll have to bring your own popcorn, balloons, hot dogs, and cigarettes if you want them).
