This cache has been archived.

debrajean: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking a ride on the KCI Geocache Challenge Express. It's been a great trip but it's now time to land.

All containers have been removed and the KCI Challenge Caches are being archived. Its been great fun reading all the logs and following your adventures. If you've already signed the physical cache and put a note on the cache page, you can still claim your smiley once you've completed the challenge.

Keep accumulating those statistics. You never know what kind of challenge will come your way in the future. Onward and upward...cache on.

Geocache Description:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard.  Fasten your GPSr strap, place your logging device in the full solving position and prepare for takeoff on the KCI Geocache Challenge Express.
The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a log only (BYOP). The log can be signed prior to meeting the challenge requirements, but the challenge cannot be claimed as a find until all requirements are met.  Please report any container issues to the CO for repair.  Any signatures on unauthorized replacement containers will be deleted by the CO.
The actual average D/T rating for these caches is 1.5/1.5. The higher rating takes into consideration the requirements for meeting these challenges.  Have fun and thanks for flying with us!

National Park Service Challenge

This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.
Quote from John Muir

The National Park Service (NPS) is the U.S. federal agency that manages all national parks, many national monuments, and other conservation and historical properties. It was created on August 25, 1916, by Congress through the National Park Service Organic Act. As of 2013, there are 401 official units of the National Park System (see the related Web Page).

Your challenge: Visit 12 of those units and find a cache in or as near as possible to the site. That’s all, just 12 caches...in some of the most scenic or historical areas in the United States. (Please use only the locations listed on the related web page.)
