Welcome to Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, Alabama 35124. Cache is hidden among the approximately 365 other caches located throughout the park. This one is off of the "Rattlesnake Ridge Trail". Begin your journey at the very tip of the southwest end of "Double Oak Lake" on the "Lake Trail". Hike approximately 7/10's of a mile to the junction of the "Lake Trail" and the "Rattlesnake Ridge Trail". Follow the "Rattlesnake Ridge Trail" to your goal. After finding the cache you can continue on the "Rattlesnake Ridge Trail" which returns to approximately the same area where you started on the "Lake Trail" or just turn around and go back the way you came. Either way, the distance is about the same and the terrain is moderate. Don't be fooled by the Rattlesnake Ridge sign that states 2.7 miles. The total for the entire loop is approximately 5 miles with all the twists and turns. Happy hunting.
