8 KCI: Million Miles Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

debrajean: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking a ride on the KCI Geocache Challenge Express. It's been a great trip but it's now time to land.

All containers have been removed and the KCI Challenge Caches are being archived. Its been great fun reading all the logs and following your adventures. If you've already signed the physical cache and put a note on the cache page, you can still claim your smiley once you've completed the challenge.

Keep accumulating those statistics. You never know what kind of challenge will come your way in the future. Onward and upward...cache on.

Geocache Description:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard.  Fasten your GPSr strap, place your logging device in the full solving position and prepare for takeoff on the KCI Geocache Challenge Express.

The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a log only (BYOP). The log can be signed prior to meeting the challenge requirements, but the challenge cannot be claimed as a find until all requirements are met.  Please report any container issues to the CO for repair.  Any signatures on unauthorized replacement containers will be deleted by the CO.

The actual average D/T rating for these caches is 1.5/1.5. The higher rating takes into consideration the requirements for meeting these challenges.  Have fun and thanks for flying with us!

Million Miles Challenge

This challenge requires you find caches with a total distance from your home coordinates of at least one million miles and you must provide reasonable documentation that you meet the requirements. Some examples are:

1.  For GSAK users you can either export your finds to a spreadsheet and sum the Miles column or use the MillionMileChallenge macro.

2. Use Statistics on your Geocaching.com profile and calculate a total “Distance to Finds”. You’re going to have to use the lower number in the range here and will lose a lot of miles.

3.  Geocaching.com calculates the distance for a cache from your home coords. Go through all of your finds and record this number then sum the total.  Take a break now and then so you won’t throw something at your computer monitor.

I used the MillionMileChallenge macro in GSAK to find mine:

CONGRATULATIONS TO HOCKABEE FOR FTF!!!
