Bally Oasis Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

redadmiral: I am going to archive this cache. It's too bad; it was my favorite of mine. But twice, when I went to replace the muggled cache, once on a Monday around 10am, then again on a Wednesday around 2pm, I couldn't find a moment free of traffic. This is surprising, because this isn't exactly a densely populated area. But all traffic slows down for the curve and the narrow bridge, and the drivers and passengers gawk while you're standing there trying to look like you aren't doing anything interesting, so I figured it was just going to get muggled again.

I think, too, that one of these days, the bridge will be torn and and replaced as part of the bridge renovation programs that are going on, and then I would have to disable the cache again for the duration of that effort.

Therefore, I am archiving it.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a place to which people come from miles around to fill water bottles with spring water right out of the ground.  The spring is on private property, but the owner permits people to fill their bottles.  I have not used the water here, but many people do.   I am not sure of the purity of the water.

Parking is available for 1-2 vehicles, if parking is done sensibly. You do NOT need to cross the road from the parking area. There is a shoulder, but no sidewalk, so keep an eye out for traffic.

BYOP and extraction tool for this one. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE replace tool and log exactly as found.
